Cad Cabinetry Technician
Role Overview
Onovo is seeking a cad technician to lead draft drawings across high-end residential and commercial projects. You will collaborate closely with our in-house joinery, fabrication, and project management teams to bring designs from concept to built reality
Key Responsibilities
- Must have a background in technical design
- Understanding cabinetry is a must
- Experience producing draft / production drawings for manufacture
- Design kitchens using CAD software.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD cabinetry design.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Cabinet Vision an advantage
- Experience in production and furniture design for commercial and residential markets
- Experience in ‘setting out’ proficient 2D production drawings from designs essential
- Must have a understanding of cabinetry in order to produce production drawings for manufacturing
Cabinet Maker
Role Overview
Onovo is seeking an experienced and skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team, working across high-end residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for producing high-quality bespoke cabinetry and joinery, working closely with our design, fabrication, and project management teams to bring projects from drawings through to finished installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble bespoke cabinetry and furniture to a high standard.
- Interpret technical and production drawings accurately.
- Work with a range of materials, finishes, and hardware.
- Ensure all work meets Onovo’s quality and design standards.
- Collaborate with designers, CAD technicians, and project managers throughout the production process.
- Carry out accurate setting out, cutting, assembly, and finishing of cabinetry.
- Identify and resolve technical or manufacturing issues.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Assist with installation and on-site fitting when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Cabinet Maker or Joiner.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry and furniture construction.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and production drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and practical skills.
- Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working on high-end residential and/or commercial projects.
- Experience with bespoke furniture and cabinetry.
- Knowledge of modern joinery techniques, materials, hardware, and finishes.
- Experience with CNC machinery or Cabinet Vision is an advantage.
- Relevant joinery/cabinet-making qualification is desirable but not essential where equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
